Week 2 Action Step | Replacing Lies with God's Truth
Fear is sneaky. It disguises itself as control, anxiety, or avoidance, whispering lies that shape how we live. But Jesus invites us into freedom—a life shaped by truth and love.
This week, we are inviting God to expose fear and replace it with His truth. Here are three questions to guide the process:
1. God, where am I afraid?
Start here. Ask the Spirit to reveal the fear lurking in your heart. Don’t rush this step. Let Him speak.
2. God, what lies ARE ATTACHED TO this fear?
Fear feeds on lies—about God, about you, about your circumstances. Ask Him to reveal them. If you want to go deeper, ask: When did I start believing these lies?
3. God, what is the truth?
Confess the lie. Name it. Reject it: This is a lie. It doesn’t belong to me. Then ask God for the truth. Write it down. Say it out loud. Let it sink in.
So support your pursuit of God’s truth this week, turn to Scripture. Here are a few to consider diving into:
Psalm 103:8-12, Isaiah 40:28-31, Isaiah 41:10 — Snapshots of God’s character
Ephesians 1 – Summary of your identity in Christ.
Psalm 139 – God’s intimate love and knowledge of you.
John 14-15 – Promises from Jesus and keys to abiding in Jesus as your source of life.
